Takashimaya S.C. East Bldg. 5F
I was greeted by an oversized Kabigon, a Pikachu dressed as a wizard, and a Mew when I arrived at the Pokémon Café.
The Pokémon Center Tokyo DX was also located on the same floor. This store was selling limited-edition Pokémon OEDO merchandise, which was created in collaboration with long-established shops in the Nihonbashi area. One trendy item was a Pikachu dressed in traditional Edo-period Japanese attire, resembling a fire extinguisher. This item was very cool.
I arrived at the Pokémon Café 10 minutes before my appointment and waited in line in front of the entrance until it was time for my reservation.
The restaurant
The staff members escorted me to my table when I made my reservation. The entire team was composed of women. The entrance was adorned with exclusive Pokemon Café merchandise.
The restaurant played Pokemon game music as background music, which heightened my excitement and interest in the food.
The restaurant had bright and opened walls with transparent glass, and the tables were spaced far apart, providing a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy the food.
The restaurant was filled with Pokemon stuffed animals with Halloween decorations.
Despite it being a weekday afternoon, half of the seating area was occupied by foreign tourists, many of whom were wearing Pokemon merchandise. This restaurant had become a sacred place for foreign fans of Pokemon visiting Japan.

On the table was a luncheon mat featuring Pokémon dressed up for Halloween.
