Chinese food in downtown Kyoto has developed because ordinary people love it. If you travel to Kyoto, please try Chinese food in Kyoto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"i-1\">Fuyouen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Fuyouen is a long-established Cantonese restaurant that opened in 1955. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe data-src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/embed?pb=!1m18!1m12!1m3!1d3268.1796646822622!2d135.7697943!3d35.002207399999996!2m3!1f0!2f0!3f0!3m2!1i1024!2i768!4f13.1!3m3!1m2!1s0x600108bfc2487d93%3A0xf8831ff8afe321f7!2z6IqZ6JOJ5ZyS!5e0!3m2!1sen!2sjp!4v1669357646550!5m2!1sen!2sjp\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" style=\"border:0;\" allowfullscreen loading=\"lazy\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>The restaurant is located about a 5-minute walk south of the Shijo-Kawaramachi intersection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/careerchange-diary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/20221126-001.webp\" alt=\"This photo shows the sign posted at the entrance to Fuyouen. Behind the counter is the cooking area. In the kitchen, the owner was cooking one dish at a time. I ordered the 4,000 yen course meal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"sobig\"><span class=\"small\">4,000 yen course meal<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"i-2\">Appetizer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"i-3\">Century eggs and Vinegared jellyfish<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The first dish was plump and juicy peeled century eggs. Century eggs are a Chinese food made by aging duck eggs under strongly alkaline conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/careerchange-diary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/20221126-002.webp\" alt=\"This photo shows the appetizers &quot;century eggs&quot; and &quot;vinegared jellyfish.&quot; Century eggs are a Chinese food made by aging duck eggs under strongly alkaline conditions. The taste was rich and slightly salty. I did not notice any odor characteristic of century egg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"i-4\">Shumai and Grilled pork<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Shumai is a Chinese dumpling made of ground pork wrapped in a flour skin and steamed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/careerchange-diary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/20221126-003.webp\" alt=\"This photo shows shumai and grilled pork. The shumai was tender and juicy. The grilled pork made from \u201cKyoto pork\u201d was excellent, with a delicious meat flavor and fat sweetness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"i-5\">Shark fin soup<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Eggs and shark fin are the ingredients of this soup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/careerchange-diary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/20221126-004.webp\" alt=\"This photo shows Shark fin soup. In addition to bamboo shoots, the ingredients included shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, green onions, and pork. The skin was crispy, and the filling was crunchy. The spring rolls at this restaurant were elegantly seasoned and tasted good without sauce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"i-7\">Fried egg with chicken\uff08Hou-Oh-Tan\uff09<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This dish is a specialty of Fuyouen. It is written in Japanese as \u201c\u9cf3\u51f0\u86cb,\u201d which is read as \u201cHou-Oh-Tan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"715\" height=\"715\" src=\"https:\/\/careerchange-diary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/20221126-007.webp\" alt=\"This photo shows the egg roll with chicken. The ingredients and seasoning were simple, but the sweetness of the onions and the flavor created by the chicken broth were superb. I thought it would be delicious over cooked rice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"i-8\">Chinese sandwich<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This dish was served on Chinese bread with Dongpo meat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/careerchange-diary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/20221126-008.webp\" alt=\"This photo shows the ingredients of the Chinese sandwich on the plate. The lightly seasoned sauce brought out the full flavor of the meat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"i-11\">Chinese-style candied sweet potatoes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A thick, sweet juice was on the sweet potato. The juice is molasses made by boiling down sugar and water. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/careerchange-diary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/20221126-013.webp\" alt=\"This photo shows Chinese-style candied sweet potatoes. The sweetness of the sweet potato was what made this dish so wonderful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"i-12\">Almond Jerry<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Almond Jerry is a traditional Chinese dessert. It is made of apricot kernels and milk with sugar and hardened with agar or gelatin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/careerchange-diary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/20221126-014.webp\" alt=\"This picture shows Almond Jerry in a glass bowl. The 4,000 yen course was excellent for the money, and I was full. The Chinese food in downtown Kyoto was as good as they say.
