Kuuya is located on Namiki-Dori in Ginza 6-Chome. This confectioner is famous for its Monaka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"334\" src=\"https:\/\/careerchange-diary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022-11-24_20-09-42-1.webp\" alt=\"The photo shows the entrance to Kuuya on Namiki-Dori in Ginza 6-Chome. The dark blue curtain has &quot;Kuuya Monaka&quot; written in white letters.\" class=\"wp-image-20391\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The shop was named after <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/K%C5%ABya\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/K%C5%ABya\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">K\u016bya<\/a>. He was a famous Japanese monk. He was a pioneer of Pure Land Buddhism and Nembutsu beliefs in Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The characteristic of Kuuya Monaka is the delicious charring of the skin. It was created by the founder of Kuuya, inspired by the way Kabuki actor Danjuro IX ate it. Kuuya Monaka is a famous confection in Ginza that was loved by some of Japan\u2019s greatest writers, such as Soseki Natsume and Junichiro Tanizaki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"\u7a7a\u4e5f\u3082\u306a\u304b\">Kuuya Monaka<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Kuya Monaka is a small gourd-shaped Japanese confectionery. I bought ten pieces of Kuya Monaka to eat at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"335\" src=\"https:\/\/careerchange-diary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022-11-24_20-31-48-1.webp\" alt=\"This photo shows Kuuya Monaka in a plain white paper box for home use. When I took the lid off the box, I could smell the aroma of burnt glutinous rice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"333\" src=\"https:\/\/careerchange-diary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022-11-24_20-32-11.webp\" alt=\"The photo shows Kuuya Monaka served on a blue round plate. When the monaka is split in half, it is filled with crushed sweet bean paste.\" class=\"wp-image-20398\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On the surface of the dumpling was inscribed \u201c\u7a7a\u4e5f\uff08Kuuya\uff09\u201d in Japanese. The red bean paste made from azuki beans and sugar was moderately sweet. This monaka was simple in both shape and taste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" src=\"https:\/\/careerchange-diary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022-11-24_20-32-41.webp\" alt=\"The photo shows Kuuya Monaka made into oshiruko (soup stock) by adding boiling water. On the calendar, \u274c was written on days when the monaka is fully booked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"i-2\">Natsume S\u014dseki<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Natsume S\u014dseki(\u590f\u76ee \u6f31\u77f3, 9 February 1867 \u2013 9 December 1916) was a Japanese novelist and English literature scholar. His representative works include \u201cI am a Cat,\u201d \u201cBotchan,\u201d \u201cKokoro,\u201d \u201cKusamakura,\u201d and \u201cLight and Darkness.\u201d From 1984 to 2004, his portrait appeared on the face of the Japanese 1,000-yen bill. Kuuya appears in \u201cI am a Cat.\u201d It depicts Kuuya Mochi attached to a character\u2019s missing front tooth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"\u8c37\u5d0e\u6f64\u4e00\u90ce\">Jun\u2019ichir\u014d Tanizaki<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Jun\u2019ichir\u014d Tanizaki (\u8c37\u5d0e \u6f64\u4e00\u90ce, Tanizaki Jun\u2019ichir\u014d, 24 July 1886 \u2013 30 July 1965) was a Japanese novelist active from the late Meiji period to the mid-Showa period. He was one of six writers shortlisted for the 1964 Nobel Prize in Literature.
